BLOOM⁴³ is designed to be worn for 3 hours the night before surgery, pre-emptively priming your skin to get ready to heal. In clinical trials the effects of supraphysiological preconditioning™ have been shown to last many hours, with increased blood flow still seen hours after surgery.

It is intended to be placed within a bra, positioned against the skin (ideally centered over the nipple-areola complex) of the breast(s) that will be operated on.

Preparing for surgery is a powerful way of preventing complications that might cause prolonged healing times, additional outpatient appointments or possibly even more surgery. BLOOM⁴³ works in harmony with your body, boosting its natural ability to respond to interventions, using the power of supraphysiological preconditioning™. This works by causing the release of naturally occurring heat-shock proteins, which protect our skin from the effects of surgery. They do this by improving the blood flow to the skin through the release of carbon monoxide, a potent vasodilator. The effect of better blood flow means more oxygen gets delivered to your skin. Below is a breakdown of the cost:

• $750 for one device (unilateral surgery)

• $900 for two devices
  (Each device supports one breast, so bilateral surgery requires two.)

A refundable deposit is also required:

• $200 for one device

• $300 for two devices

The deposit is refunded once the device(s) are returned after surgery. 

BLOOM⁴³ is also HSA/FSA eligible, which may help with payment if the patient has access to one of those accounts.

After your surgery, we ask you to return your BLOOM⁴³ device(s). By doing so, you help support a more sustainable, circular healthcare system - allowing other to benefit from BLOOM⁴³ too.

The deposit simply ensures the safe return of the device. Once it’s received back in good condition, your full deposit will be refunded. It’s one small step that makes a big impact - for both enviroment and future patients.
